These terms govern your use of the website at https://spotifymusicdownloader.org and the free tool it provides. By visiting the site or using the tool, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
No account is required, so acceptance happens through use rather than through a sign-up step.
These terms may be revised at any time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.
What this service actually does
It is important that this is described precisely, because the name of the site is easily misread.
The tool runs entirely in your own browser. There is no back end of ours that processes your link, stores it, or fetches media on your behalf. Your browser talks directly to public services.
For a Spotify track, album, playlist or artist link, the tool reads the public title and cover art from Spotify's oEmbed endpoint, embeds Spotify's own official player so you can listen, and offers the cover art as a download.
Audio on Spotify is protected by digital rights management. That audio is never downloaded, decrypted or converted by this site, and the tool makes no attempt to do so. Songs play only inside Spotify's own player.
For podcasts, the tool searches Apple's public podcast directory and lists the episodes a show's publisher distributes in its public RSS feed. When you choose an episode, the MP3 file is downloaded from the publisher's own host, directly to your device. This site neither hosts nor re-hosts that file.
The service is provided free of charge. It may be discontinued, changed or interrupted at any time without notice.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use this tool and for complying with the law where you live, with the terms of the services your browser contacts, and with the rights of the people who created the content you access.
You agree not to:
- Use the site to infringe copyright or any other right of a third party.
- Attempt to use the site, or anything obtained through it, to circumvent, remove or defeat any technological protection measure.
- Interfere with the site, overload it, or access it through automated means that place an unreasonable load on it or on the third-party services it contacts.
- Reproduce, redistribute or sell content obtained through the site where you do not hold the rights to do so.
- Present this site as being operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by any rights holder or streaming service.
Downloading a podcast episode that its publisher distributes openly is generally an ordinary use of a public feed. Redistributing that episode, or any cover art, is a separate question governed by the rights holder's own licence. Deciding what you may do with a file is your responsibility, not ours.
Intellectual property
The design, text, layout and original illustrations of this website belong to the operator of this site and may not be copied wholesale without permission.
Everything the tool surfaces from elsewhere, including titles, cover art, podcast artwork and episode audio, belongs to its respective rights holders. Displaying that material here for the purpose of previewing a link does not transfer any right in it to you or to us.
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB. Apple and iTunes are trademarks of Apple Inc. Those names are used here only to describe, accurately, which public services the tool reads from.
If you believe material reachable through this site infringes your copyright, the DMCA page explains how to send a formal notice.
Third-party services and links
This site links to and loads resources from services operated by other people, including Spotify, Apple and individual podcast publishers. Those services are outside our control.
We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the content, policies or practices of any third-party service. Your use of any of them is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy, and you should read them.
If a third-party service changes, restricts or withdraws the public endpoint the tool relies on, a feature of this site may stop working. That is a normal consequence of building on public services and is not a breach of these terms.
No warranty and limitation of liability
This website and the tool are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. No warranty is given that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any particular link, show or file will work.
